The First Statutes and First Ordinances duly framed by the Governing Body were approved by the Chhattisgarh Private Universities Regulatory Commission and Government of Chhattisgarh and was published in the Chhattisgarh State Gazette on December 16, 2011.
The University has been listed under section 22 of the UGC Act vide letter No. 8-32/2011(CPP-I/PU) dated December, 2011.
The University is a member of the Association of Indian Universities (AIU) New Delhi
The ICFAI University, Raipur was established in 2011 through an Act of Chhattisgarh Private Universities (Establishment and Operation)
THE ICFAI UNIVERSITY, RAIPUR DEGREES ARE ELIGIBLE FOR NATIONAL AND INTERNATIONAL TESTS FOR HIGHER EDUCATION
Like any UGC recognized Degrees of any University in India, students passing out from The ICFAI University Raipur are eligible to sit in examinations like GATE, CAT, UPSC, GMAT, GRE, JRF etc.
The University is competent to award the Degrees, as specified by the UGC under Section 22 of the UGC Act, 1956. For example:
UPSC
Eligibility to sit in the UPSC examination is a Degree from a recognized University or equivalent. The ICFAI University Raipur students are eligible to sit in UPSC examinations.
CAT
Eligibility for CAT is a Bachelor Degree with at least 50% marks from a University established by Central or State Act as The ICFAI University Raipur is a University established by the Act passed by the State Government, students are eligible for CAT and every year students of The ICFAI University Raipur participate in the CAT Examination.
GATE
For GATE (Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering Examination) conducted by IITs in India, Many students of The ICFAI University Raipur take part in this examination every year.
